When fear entered us

When fear entered us

Tore us apart

Shattered kinship

Diminished relationship

Raised walls

Ignored cycles

When fear entered us

We clung to it as the only reality

Accommodated our needs

Domesticated ourselves

We tore up the possibilities of inter-being

So imprisoned are we

We keep shredding and desacralising Life

Just to feel safe

Opening deep and vast holes

Through where affinities and symbioses pour away

And from where we extract rigid convictions

But fear remains

Voracious and deafening

The amnesia of how to participate in Life stays

Dread and insecurity persist

When fear entered us

Pain and grief also continued to consume

And to silence them

We aggrandised ourselves

Deluded about our glory

Flaunting our intelligence

The one that brought the mirage of stable comfort and security

But the disenchantment of lost relationships

Hasn’t faded

For when fear entered us

We lost ourselves.
